Company description
Northampton Samaritans was founded over 50 years ago when - in February 1968, we received our first call. Today, as well as supporting people in need, volunteers and friends of Northampton Samaritans, play an important part in community life. Volunteering in Northampton At Northampton, we run 3 x training courses a year, starting in January, June & September; with our January 2019 course starting on Sunday 20th January. There are 12 sessions within each course and the dates are shown here At the moment we are recruiting for the January 2019 course and still have some places available, if you would like to proceed and are available for the sessions starting in January, we would be delighted to meet you on an evening or a Saturday morning that is convenient for you.
Just let us have your availability and we'll confirm arrangements by return. As well as volunteering roles focused on talking to people on the phone, becoming a ‘Friend of Northampton Samaritans’ is a great way of helping in other ways. This may suit volunteers with housekeeping or book-keeping experience, for example, or people who’d like to fundraise.
